Iceland Poppy in the Dining Room Maria and Seth Photography

Incase you haven’t noticed from our instagram and pins on pinterest, I love flowers, especially poppies. Iceland poppies are gorgeous and grow beautifully in winter and spring here in LA. The little batch I planted about a month ago is hitting its peak. Everytime I pass by these flowers on our front porch I feel happy. They are a joy to have around. I soon realized it was time to put the cellphone down and take their “official portrait.” Here are some of my favorite photos.

If this is your type of thang, check out my blog  http://mariakarubinphoto.wordpress.com/ where I put more casual posts about gardening, crafts, and random photography.

If you have a post about your garden or poppies, let us know in the comments. I’d love to see! Thanks for looking!

    1. Russel, thanks for checking out my post. Most people call them poppies. I just wanted to specify the type of poppy. There are quite a bit of poppies that have slightly different characteristics. These have that really chrinchled look on the petals. Have a great day! -Maria
