Honeymoon: Driving Through California

Humbug Oregon was the northern most point in our roadtrip. We loosely planned the drive back down but wanted to play it by ear. We had one last camping stop in Southern California before the end of the trip. After a lot of deliberating and figuring out the last few days of our vacation, we decided to head south. AND TO DO THE DRIVE IN ONE DAY.

Humbug, Oregon to Redlands, California in one day. We drove for over 16 hours, from 8:30am to 1:15am.

This is that day.

Seth drove the entire way. We stopped once for gas and once to pick up something to eat on the road.  At times we listening to audiobooks and others just talked about anything and everything. I love our long-drive conversations. Despite being together for nearly 8-years, we always have something new to learn about each other.

After getting home at 1:15am, neither one of us were sleepy. We were wired from the drive. Eventually, we got got some shut eye but the next day we were exhausted.

It was a “rest day” but it wasn’t really. We had to recoup and get ready to hit the road again. The next post will cover and our LAST stop, Red Rock Canyon State Park in SoCal.

The first photo shows the start time at 8:35am.
